This tower is also know as clock tower beacuse it consist of 4clock from every direction .This clock tower was established four decades ago with the help of Japanese school students from yogano , Japan . The children of Japanese school contributed their one day tiffine money to raised money for the construction and sent a Japanese branded Seiko clock-face for the tower.
This ghanta Ghar (clocktower)was built in 1976 with the active participation from the zonal commissioner and the local bodies. GhantaGhar is known as the middle of the city . At GhantaGhar many of the social program have been conducted . At present Nepal telecom company have started maintaining the clocktower, GhantaGhar.
Maisthan Mandir(Gahawa Mai Mandir)
Maisthan Mandir which is also known as Gahawa Mai Mandir lies in the center of the birgunj city. The temple is religious temple many devotes come for the prayer every year. It is believed that the temple was established about 200 years ago. In this temple Godess Durga is specially workshipped but at present many God and Goddess present in the surrounding of the temple .
